A New Friend

I have a dear old friend who has taught me a lot in the past few years.  She was also my grandmother's dear old friend and we became kindred spirits from the beginning.  We have spent many hours together creating some beautiful things and it's been an honor to have her in my life.

I've also made a new friend recently.  We've spent some time getting acquainted this weekend while working on my mother's patriotic quilt and I think she is going to be a welcome addition to our little club.

Her character is solid and the talents she brings are undeniably beneficial to our relationship.

She even has some wonderful accessories that she's offered to share.

We've rearranged our space a bit so everyone has a place where they will be most comfortable.

I truly believe this relationship is the beginning of something magical.

  2. How exciting! My first machine (I used my mom's for a couple of years first) has a power switch, a knee lifter and a needle up/down button--all things I never knew I would love to have!

  8. I have very similar machines... a Bernina 1090 (which I wouldn't trade for anything in the world) and a Juki TL98e. I love both of my machines and they accommodate my needs very well. Well, I would love to have an APQS George, but that won't be happening for awhile. Congratulations on getting the Juki - I think you're gonna be very happy with it! Your sewing room/studio is lovely (and so clean)!

  10. I love your space! Just enough color to be inspired, but not overload.

Hope you enjoy your machine as much as I've enjoyed mine. I've had it since February, and aside from a minor hiccup out of the box, it's been amazing. Even my husband shows it off to non-quilting friends because it's just so cool.
