I'm making two baby quilts for two brothers. They are sharing a room (the youngest will be born in April) and the mom would like to coordinate quilts. That means I need to use the same fabrics, but different patterns. I'll be diving into some Parson Gray fabric this time around. I won't lie and tell you I'm kinda excited about this.
I found some solids to coordinate with the Parson Gray fabrics. The background fabric is Kona Expresso. The other coordinating solids are rust, spice, chrome and slate. If those aren't masculine fabrics, I don't know what is.
I also get to play around with some girly fabrics from the Bungalow collection by Joel Dewberry and some Kona Snow.
I can't wait to get started!
Great fabric choices and the solids seem perfect for that line! Can't wait to see how it all comes together. Best, Kate
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I loved working with Parson Gray fabric. I can't wait to see how your quilts turn out.
ReplyDeleteDoes the Kona snow match the Bungalow well?? I have a half yard bundle and I'm not sure which direction to go as far as solids!
ReplyDeleteyou say you can`t wait to get started, well I can`t wait to see these finished
ReplyDeleteI really like your fabric choices. I resisted Bungalow because of a self-imposed "fabric diet" but I might have to break it for some of the Swallow Study!
ReplyDeleteLovely fabric choices! I can see why you can't wait to get stuck in.
ReplyDeleteThe boy fabrics are awesome!
ReplyDeleteSwoon + Bungalow?!!! Amazing. You need to be my personal fabric shopper because your choices are impeccable. :)
Love your choices for the quilts for the boys! The Parson Gray fabrics are some of my favorites and you've made some lovely pairings.
ReplyDeletedefinitely masculine fabrics for the boys, and I can't wait to see that giant Swoon!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing this at Needle and Thread Thursday!
