One Down and One To Go

I've finished piecing the first of the two baby quilts that I'm working on.  I really love how it has turned out.

I even started piecing the blocks for the second quilt...well, maybe only one block.  The women's figure skating was on last night and I didn't want to miss it.  :)

Another project I started tackling this week was reorganizing my fabric.  I really love the comic board cards, but I didn't buy enough of them.

I have all my pinks, reds, oranges, yellows, greens and aquas wrapped.  I originally bought 300 cards thinking that would be enough, but it only worked for about half of my fabric.  I still need to wrap my blues, purples, grays, browns, multicolored and solids.  I've ordered some more so hopefully I can get the rest done this weekend.

  6. I love the versatility of half square triangles. There are just so many possibilities. I am working on a scrappy quilt right now with whites that may go in a different direction after seeing yours!

  11. I've been trying to take over the china cabinet in my house, but I haven't won over my hubby yet. Maybe if I show him your awesome photos he'll soften up a little :)

  12. great HST layout- and love the fabric organization! I've found it really helps me see what I have so much better- and keeps creases away!

  13. Your baby quilt looks great. I love the fabrics on your comic boards. I started doing that several years ago and bought 300 boards too. Well, I found that it takes up more space than stacking the fabric vertically in colors and since I was trying to conserve space, it backfired. Now I just have my batiks wrapped and standing upright. The rest is on stacks, w/o boards by color. It sure does show off the fabrics well though, especially with your glass hutch.
